Japan-India Garden Reception held at the residence of Consul-General Harada

Consul General Harada hosted a Reception at his residence on 10th November 2019 to promote business, economic and cultural exchanges between Japan and India, tourism to Japan, Japanese food and Sake. Among 130 guests, the Indian guests were Dr. P. Anabalagan, CEO of Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), Mr. Ashishkumar Chauhan, Managing Director and CEO of Bombay Stock Exchange, Prof. Subhasis Chaudhuri, Director of IIT-Bombay, many business and financial leaders and Bollywood Actors and Actress. The Japanese guests were Japanese Association Board Members, Sakurakai members, Director-General of JETRO Mumbai, Executive Director of JNTO Delhi Office and Chief of Mumbai Bureau of Nikkei Inc. All the guests enjoyed delicious Japanese food cooked by the Chef, Mr. Horiuchi, okonomiyaki by Sojitz India Private Limited as well as the barbecue food in the garden and they also enjoyed Japanese Sake and whisky.
The parade of the New Emperor and Empress was held on 10th November in Japan. On that special day, Mr. Harada encouraged promotion of tourism in Tokyo Olympic 2020 next year and strengthening of our bilateral ties. In the morning on that day, Japanese and Indian businessmen enjoyed a friendly golf match.
