Consul-General Harada and Kobe City delegation’s visit to Ahmedabad

From January 22nd to 24th, Consul-General Harada and a big delegation of 50 members from Kobe City including Mayor of Kobe, Honorable Mr. HISAMOTO, Kobe City Council Chairperson Mr. Adachi, Kobe City Council Japan-India Friendship Association President, Mr. Yasui and eminent Kobe business leaders visited Ahmedabad. At Ahmedabad, Mayor of Kobe, Mr. HISAMOTO and Mayor of Ahmedabad, Shrimati Bijal Patel signed a joint declaration on work plan to further the Terms of Letter of Intent (LOI) between the cities of Kobe and Ahmedabad for mutual cooperation. Mayor HISAMOTO and top businessmen form Kobe gave a presentation at the Kobe-Ahmedabad Economic cooperation Seminar. The Kobe City Council delegation led by Mayor HISAMOTO, along with Ambassador SUZUKI also visited the Japan Information and Study Centre (JISC) in Ahmedabad. They also took this opportunity to visit the Gujarat University and Gandhi Ashram.
The visit was a success owing to the efforts of the Mayor of Ahmedabad Smt. Patel and her staff as well as Mr. Mukesh Patel, President, Indo-Japan Friendship Association (IJFA), Gujarat.
