Konnichiwa Pune 2021

The Consulate-General of Japan in Mumbai and Indo Japan Business Council co-organised ‘Konnichiwa Pune 2021’ from 19th to 21st November, 2021. Konnichiwa Pune 2021 was held online considering COVID-19 situation, and the festival was broadcasted on YouTube.
Consul for Culture and Information, Mr. Tauchi, Mr. Siddharth Deshmukh, President of IJBC, Mr. Isogai, advisor of IJBC, Ms.Barisic, Calligrapher of “Shodo” and “Ura-Senke Sado” master, and Ms. Serah, the youngest member of IJBC joined the Opening Ceremony on the 1st day.
In the festival, there were a number of sessions like panel discussions with eminent personalities like the Ambassador of India in Japan – H.E. Mr. Sanjay Kumar Verma, lectures, interviews to Youtubers and demonstrations relating to Japanese culture such as Sadō (Japanese tea ceremony), Origami, Kimono etc. and viewers enjoyed the festival.
