< Japan Festival 2013 in Ahmedabad >

   The Consulate General of Japan, Mumbai and Indo-Japan Friendship Assocition, Gujarat have organised the Japan Festival 2013 in Ahmedabad. The two day event will have a number of cultural events including workshops of Bonsai, Origami (Paper Folding), Ikebana (Flower Arrangement) and Tea ceremony. A Japanese film 'A voice of a distant star', 'Osaka hamlet', 'The chef of southern polar', 'Always - Sunset on third street', 'Chibi maruko chan', 'Shodo girls' and 'Children who chase lost voices' will be screened along with a variety of 16 Japanese Documentary films. The highlight of the event is an exhibition of Hina Dolls, Gogatsuningyo (Samurai warrior helmet) and Japanese artifacts which will give an insight into the culture and traditional arts and crafts of Japan.
