Inauguration Ceremony of The Project for the Construction of School for Under-privileged Children in Raipur District

On 27th of February, Mr. Michio Harada, Consul-General of Japan in Mumbai, along with staff from Prerak Samiti, school students and residents from nearby villages, total of around 250 attendees, celebrated inauguration ceremony for the project at Sanskar Public School, Torla Village, Raipur District, Chattisgarh State. At the ceremony, Mr. Harada appreciated the successful implementation of the Project, and expressed expectation that the school children, together with the school staffs, will make good use of the gift given by the people of Japan and study hard to become future ambassador of India to Japan. Mr. Harada also mentioned that the Project will help in strengthening the friendship between India and Japan.
Mr. Ramgulam Sinha, President of Prerak Samiti, expressed his gratitude for the assistance from the people and Government of Japan. This newly procured school building and furniture (equivalent to USD 89,055) is expected to contribute in providing quality education and improving the socio-economic status of households in the area.
Through aforementioned project, with an aim to provide quality education to the children from under-privileged background, a school building and furniture (desks and chairs) was procured.
