Consul-General Harada Hosted Lunch for diplomats of G20 countries

On March 5th, Consul-General Harada and Consul-General of Saudi Arabia Mr. Salem Algarny hosted a lunch for the diplomats representing the G20 countries at his residence. Diplomats representing 12 countries attended this lunch including Consul-Generals and Deputy Counsul-Generals of Argentina, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, South Africa, Turkey, UK and US (Australia, China, Mexico, Russia and South Korea were absent). Ms. Manisha Patankar-Mhaiskar, Principal Secretary & Chief Protocol Officer, Government of Maharashtra also attended this lunch as a representative of India. They not only discussed issues of COVID-19 but also agreed to clean up the Mumbai beach. This proposal was made to follow up “Osaka Blue Ocean Vision” agreed as per G20 Leaders Joint Statement. Beach cleaning will be decided with local NGO. G20 Consul-Generals agreed to continue this useful meeting.
