Consul-General Harada’s meeting with Mr. Subhash Desai, Minister for Industries and Mining

On May 20, amidst the lockdown Consul-General Harada met with Mr. Subhash Desai, Minister for Industries and Mining, Government of Maharashtra. They discussed about future economic relations between Japan and Maharashtra.
Minister Desai said that they welcome further investments from Japan and that they will introduce the schemes to promote bold investments. Consul-General Harada mentioned about Japan being one of the largest investors in Maharashtra. Although most Japanese expats have returned to Japan temporarily after the lockdown began in March, Consul-General Harada hoped that they will come back to India soon and everything returns to normal.
