His Majesty the Emperor’s Birthday Reception

On 13th February, His Majesty the Emperor’s Birthday Reception was held at the Taj Mahal Hotel in Mumbai to celebrate His Majesty’s 63rd Birthday.
Hon’ble Mr. Rahul Narwekar, Speaker of Legislative Assembly of Government of Maharashtra was the Chief Guest at this event while Hon’ble Ms. Manisha Mhaiskar, Additional Chief Secretary and Chief Protocol Officer of Government of Maharashtra was the Guest of Honour. Around 260 guests from various local administrations, businesses, cultural organisations and members of the Japanese Association of Mumbai attended this event. At the reception, Japanese Sweets and Sushi made by Mr. Ikeda, the Consul-General’s chef, and also Japanese alcoholic beverages were served.
At the beginning of his speech, Consul-General Dr. FUKAHORI mentioned that this reception is being held after three years since Covid-19 pandemic, and stated that Japan-India relations, which marked the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations last year, will strengthen further through diplomatic, economic and cultural exchanges, and will enter a new history. He concluded his speech by expressing the Emperor's strong desire for world peace and his wish for further progress in Japan-India relations as well as world peace and prosperity.
