Information of an Exhibition in Mumbai: Manga Hokusai Manga

The Consulate-General of Japan in Mumbai, The Japan Foundation and Teachers Association of Japanese, Mumbai are organizing an Exhibition: Manga Hokusai Manga in December.
When introducing the roots of manga, “Hokusai manga” is often mentioned, especially abroad. This exhibition examines the theory “Hokusai Manga is the root of modern manga” from a variety of angles.
Venue: New Library Building, University of Mumbai (Vidya Nagari, Kalina, Santacruz East, Mumbai)
Dates: 10th December to 21st December

*Hokusai was a Japanese Ukiyo-e painter in Edo era. One of his greatest works, Thirty-six Views of Mt. Fuji, was introduced at the Paris Exposition in 1867 and influenced Monet and Edgar.
