42nd R.G. Saraiya Memorial Mumbai District Japanese Language Speech Contest

On 15th October, the Consulate-General of Japan in Mumbai and The Indo-Japanese Association Mumbai jointly held the 42nd R.G. Saraiya Memorial Mumbai District Japanese Language Speech Contest.

Many students studying Japanese language participated in the Speech Contest which was held in three categories of elementary, junior and senior level. The participants put in a lot of efforts into their speeches and were praised by the judges for the same.
 
The contest was judged by Consul-General Dr. FUKAHORI, Mr. Takado, Principal of the Japanese School of Mumbai, Mr. Kito, President of the Japanese Association of Mumbai, and Mr. Kuroda, Japanese Language Advisor of Japan Foundation. The judges remarked that this year’s speeches were very unique and that they were glad to have been here to hear them.
 
The winners from the junior and senior level of this Speech Contest will participate in the West Zone Japanese Language Speech Contest in Pune.
