Consul-General Dr. FUKAHORI’s attendance to the 1st anniversary of the Miyawaki Plantation Drive of Mumbai Metro Line 3

On July 6, Consul-General Dr. FUKAHORI visited an event at the Miyawaki Plantation Site of Mumbai Metro Line 3 at Swatantrya Veer Savarkar Udyan in Goregaon. The event marked the 1st anniversary of the plantation drive using the Miyawaki Method that was commenced and completed by Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) in coordination with the Forest Development Corporation of Maharashtra (FDCM) in June 2021.
Consul-General Dr. FUKAHORI expressed his hope that the friendship between Japan and India will continue to grow as strong as the trees planted and that the site will remain a symbol of hope for both countries.
