Consul-General Dr. FUKAHORI’s meeting with Mr. Samir Somaiya – Chancellor, Somaiya Vidyavihar University

On 28th June, Consul-General Dr. FUKAHORI invited Mr. Samir Somaiya – Chancellor of Somaiya Vidyavihar University – to his residence and exchanged views with him over the expansion of Japanese language education in the university. They also spoke about avenues of cooperation between the Consulate-General of Mumbai and Somaiya Vidyavihar University.
During the meeting, Consul-General Dr. FUKAHORI also expressed his gratitude to Mr. Somaiya for the use of Somaiya School for the Japanese Language Students’ Cultural Festival which is jointly organised by the Teachers’ Association of Japanese in Mumbai and the Consulate-General of Japan in Mumbai. Mr. Samir Somaiya expressed his wish to have a workshop on Japanese food at the next cultural festival due to the growing interest in Japanese cuisine in Mumbai.
