Consul-General Dr. FUKAHORI'S Participation in an Online Ceremony of the Launching of the Orthotropic Steel Deck (OSD) on the Package I of the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL)

On 14th January 2022, Consul-General Dr, FUKAHORI attended the online ceremony of the launching of the OSD on Package I of the MTHL (an ODA loan project), at the invitation of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA).
Consul-General Dr. FUKAHORI, while congratulating the MMRDA on the launching of India's first-ever OSD, also praised the consortium of Larsen & Toubro Constructions (L&T) from India and IHI Corporation from Japan – the companies that received the contract for Package I including the construction of the OSD. He said that this collaboration truly symbolizes the Special Strategic and Global Partnership between Japan and India. He highlighted that this year marks the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and India and said that the Consulate would like to continue cooperation with the MMRDA in enhancing the social and physical infrastructure of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region through Japanese knowledge and technology.
