Inauguration Ceremony of The Project for the Provision of Medical Equipment to Eye Hospital in Ahmedabad City

On 13th August, Mr. Michio Harada, Consul-General of Japan in Mumbai, along with staff from Blind People’s Association (BPA), inaugurated the Project via online virtual conference. At the ceremony, Mr. Harada wished that the provided equipment to be maintained well and effectively utilized for the patients.
Mrs. Rawal, Executive director of Blind People’s Association expressed her gratitude for the Grant Assistance for the Grassroots Project Scheme (GGP). She also mentioned that this newly procured medical equipment (equivalent to USD 74,328) is expected to reach out to the poorest of the poor and to provide efficient and low cost eye-care medical services.
Through aforementioned project, the citizens of Ahmedabad city in Gujarat can look forward to gain access to better medical facilities, thus improving the overall health condition of the people in the area.
