Inauguration of Japan’s first Honorary Consulate Office in India

On 4th October 2024, Consul-General Mr. Mr. Koji Yagi, attended official inauguration of India’s first Honorary Consulate Office at Ahmedabad. Ms. Kyoko Hokugo, Minister Economic, Embassy of Japan in New Delhi also joined for this ceremony. Mr. Yagi said “Appointment of Mr. Patel as Japanese Honorary Consul by Japan’s Foreign Minister in February 2024 and the inauguration of Honorary Consulate Office in Ahmedabad are the testaments of Japan’s commitment to strengthening the Japan-GJ relationship. As Consul-General of Japan, I look forward to Mr. Patel’s continued efforts in further advancing Japan-GJ friendly relationship.”
