Inauguration Ceremony of “The Project for the Provision of Medical Equipment to Padhar Hospital, District Betul” in Madhya Pradesh.

On 5th March 2024, Ms. Megumi Hamuro, Consul of Culture and Information, inaugurated “The Project for the Provision of Medical Equipment to Padhar Hospital in Madhya Pradesh”. The Government and the people of Japan, donated new blood bank equipment (Electrosurgical Unit with Harmonics and Blood Component Bank Equipment, amounting to US$ 58,781) to the Padhar hospital. At the ceremony, Ms. Hamuro wished that the provided equipment will be taken care of and used for a long time to support not only Padhar hospital, but all the patients and people around to have a healthy and enjoyable life.
Mrs. Ganga Uikey, MLA, expressed her gratitude towards this second Grant Assistant for Grassroots Project (GGP) which enabled the provision of specialized medical equipment - the Thunderbeat Electrosurgical Unit and the equipment for Component Separation. She expressed her hope that these equipment would help in treating many patients of Padhar Hospital, the rural, tribal and underserved population of this area.
Dr. Rajiv Choudhire spoke with gratitude towards the Consulate-General of Japan in Mumbai for this second GGP. He highlighted how the first grant funded the oxygen generator to be green by running on solar power which was a necessity for Padhar Hospital and saved on huge bills as well as saved many lives during COVID phase II in 2021. Dr. Rajiv expressed his thankfulness for the gracious second GGP by funding the Thunderbeat electrosurgical unit and the equipment for Blood Component separation. He said that these equipment would be used for the rural, tribal and underprivileged communities served by Padhar Hospital and many lives would be saved and many patients would be helped.
The medical equipment provided to the Padhar hospital will improve the surgical ability of the hospital and is aimed at contributing towards improving the health of the people in the area.
