Consul-General’s Commendation for Mr. Mehool Bhuva (Japanese Culture)

On 13th March, His Excellency Consul-General of Mumbai Dr. FUKAHORI Yasukata conferred the Consul-General’s Commendation(*) on President of Indo-Japanese Association, Mr. Mehool Bhuva for his efforts to promote Japanese Language which contributed towards the development of mutual understanding and friendship between Japan and India.
H.E. Consul-General Dr. Fukahori, while congratulating Mr. Bhuva on his commendation, said that he hoped Mr. Bhuva would continue his efforts towards promoting mutual understanding and friendship between the two countries.
(*) The Consul-General’s Commendation is awarded to commend individuals and groups who have made significant contribution towards promoting mutual understanding and friendship between Japan and India.
・Reason for Commendation
Mr. Mehool Bhuva has been energetically leading Indo-Japanese Association Mumbai established in 1954 as life member for many years as well as President since 2018 and has significantly contributed to the promotion of Japan-India friendship by organizing a variety of cultural activities like Japan Festival. Through these activities, Mr. Bhuva brought many Indians closer to Japanese art and culture, and thus contributed to deepening mutual understanding and friendship between Japan and India.
