Wakayama’s sports and cultural delegation’s visit to the Consulate-General of Japan in Mumbai

On 2nd February, a sports and cultural delegation from Wakayama Prefecture visited the Consulate-General of Japan in Mumbai and exchanged views with Consul-General Dr. FUKAHORI.
The Consul-General while talking about the similarities between India and Japan, such as the common deities worshipped in both countries also expressed the hope that the friendship between India and Japan could be deepened through sports.
The Wakayama Sports delegation visited Mumbai (Maharashtra) to conduct a wrestling exchange with the wrestlers from Maharashtra. The Cultural delegation was here to give a Sumo demonstration at the ceremony of the renewal of the MoU between Wakayama Prefecture and Maharashtra.
