Visit by the Governor of Wakayama Prefecture to the Consulate-General of Japan in Mumbai

On 2nd February, Mr. Kishimoto, Governor of Wakayama Prefecture visited the Consulate-General of Japan in Mumbai and exchanged views with Consul-General Dr. FUKAHORI. Mr. Kishimoto was visiting Maharashtra to renew a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Maharashtra and Wakayama Prefecture to strengthen ties between the two regions.
Consul-General Dr. FUKAHORI talked about the economic situation in the region and also about the similarities between India and Japan touching upon the subject of the common deities in Shintoism, Buddhism, and the Hinduism.
