Book Donation Ceremony for the READ JAPAN Project organised by the Nippon Foundation to promote the understanding of Japan.

Consul-General Harada recently conducted a book donation ceremony to 3 universities selected by the Nippon Foundation for their ‘READ JAPAN PROJECT to promote the understanding of Japan’.
 
The selected universities are as follows:-
  • Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth (TMV)
  • K. J. Somaiya Centre for Buddhist Studies
  • Mahatma Gandhi International Hindi University
Consul General Harada had talked about the significance of donating books to the university by the Nippon Foundation when he met Chairman Sasakawa of the Nippon Foundation, which led to this recommendation. Consul-General Harada hoped that the donated books would help students and university officials to deepen their understanding of Japan, and that they would lead to mutual understanding and friendship between Japan and India. In response, the representatives of each university expressed their gratitude for the recommendation of the Consul-General to the Nippon Foundation and the selection by the Nippon Foundation.

We would like to express our gratitude to the Nippon Foundation for this donation of books to promote the understanding of Japan at the local universities.
