Consulate-General of Japan sanctioned grants for following projects

The grant contract signing ceremony was held on, 8th March, 2019 at Consulate-General of Japan in Mumbai with attendance of Mr. Ryoji Noda, Consul General of Japan in Mumbai and NGO “Free Ophthalmic Hospitals Society’s K.B. Haji Bachooali Charitable Ophthalmic And E.N.T. Hospital”.

The Project for the Provision of Medical Equipment for Retinopathy of Prematurity in Mumbai City

The Recipient NGO: Free Ophthalmic Hospitals Society’s K.B. Haji Bachooali Charitable Ophthalmic And E.N.T. Hospital　
Grant Amount: US$ 74,040
The organization will install medical equipment for the eye check-up of Retinopathy of Prematurity for premature babies from low income households in Mumbai city.
The project will protect premature babies from low eye sight and blindness by providing high quality retinal check up equipment. This will contribute to improvement of medical access in the region.
