Consulate-General of Japan sanctioned grants for following projects

    The grant contract signing ceremony was held on 6th February, 2017 at the PMBA’s H.V. Desai Eye Hospital in Pune with attendance of Mr. Yoshiaki Ito, Consul General, and NGOs.




1. Project: The Project for the Provision of Medical Equipment for Desai Eye Hospital in Pune City
Name of NGO: The Poona Blind Men’s Association
Grant Amount: US$ 79,498
Grant Contract Signing Date: 6th February, 2017
The organization will organize equipment for eye examinations and surgeries in order to upgrade their services for marginalized patients who are suffering from avoidable blindness. This project aims at recovery of the sight and prevention of the blindness.
