    1) The Project for Installing Water Purifying Systems to Supply Potable Water in Banaskantha

        Project: The grant will be utilized for installing water purifying systems to supply potable water in Banaskantha district of Gujarat.

    2) The Project for the Construction of Skill Development Vocational Training Centre for Marginalized Communities in Hoshangabad
        Name of NGO: Dalit Sangh
        Grant Amount: $ 85,131
        Grant Contract Signing Date: February 27, 2015

        Project: With the grant assistance, the organization will construct Skill Development Vocational Training Centre for marginalized communities in Hoshangabad district in Madhya Pradesh to impart them the local market oriented livelihood skills.

    3) The Project for the Provision of Medical Equipment for the Medical Diagnostic Centre in Raigad
        Name of NGO: Light of Life Trust
        Grant Amount: $ 83,545
        Grant Contract Signing Date: February 27, 2015

        Project: The grant will be utilized for procuringmedical equipments and hospital furniture for Medical Diagnostic Centre which will benefit of economically weaker sections of the society in Raigad district of Maharashtra.

    Grant Assistance for Grassroots Projects (GGP) scheme:

    The Government of Japan offers a financial assistance scheme called “Grant Assistance for Grassroots Projects (GGP)” for development projects designed to meet the diverse basic human needs of the people in developing countries.

    This GGP scheme supports projects implemented by non-profit organizations such as NGOs, medical/educational institutes and local governments, who are eligible to receive foreign funds under the concerned law of the Government of India. The major priority areas of the GGP scheme are basic health care, primary education, poverty alleviation, safe drinking water and sanitation, environment conservation, public welfare, empowerment of women etc.

    The GGP has acquired an excellent reputation worldwide for providing timely support to the development projects, which directly benefit the local communities at the grassroots level.
