Mr. Yoshiaki Ito, Consul-General of Japan in Mumbai, Mr. R.A. Vagadiya, Secretary of Lokseva Shikshan Vikas Trust, honourable guests, the NGO’s staffs and the beneficiaries, about 400 people joined the inauguration and extended their gratitude for the support from the people and government of Japan. The project improves the safe potable water access through the installation of the water purifyingplants for eight villages in Banaskantha district.

Mr. Ito appreciated Lokseva Shikshan Vikas Trust for their contribution to the development of the local societies for the last several decades. Mr. Ito also expressed the hope that the assistance provided by Japan would realize the improvement of the living environment of about 26,000 people in the region and fostering the friendship between India and Japan.
