Mr. Yoshiaki Ito, Consul-General of Japan in Mumbai, Mrs. Pankaja Munde, Honourable Minister for Rural Development and Water Conservation, Government of Maharashtra, President of Harappani Gorbanjara Mahila Kala Vikas Mandal, honourable guests, and the beneficiaries, total about 300 people attended the inauguration and extended their gratitude for the support from the people and government of Japan. The fully equipped new training centre empowers the Banjara women and promotes their traditional handicrafts.

Mr. Ito appreciated Harappani Gorbanjara Mahila Kala Vikas Mandal for their contribution to the development of the local societies for over the decade. Mr. Ito also expressed the hope that the assistance provided by Japan would contribute the improvement of the living environment and maintaining of the tradition of Banjara people, and fostering the friendship between India and Japan.
