< Exhibition on Urushi and Eshi >
An Exhibition of Urushi (Japanese Lacquerware) and Eshi (Edo period paintings) will be held by Wall Art Project, Japan between 6th to 9th September 2018 with the support of the Consulate-General of Japan in Mumbai.
This exhibition will attempt to show the traditional beauty of the art forms of Urushi and Eshi through ‘YOUNOBI’ meaning ‘beauty in utilitarian objects’.
The exhibition will introduce original Urushi products and paintings by artists, Daisuke Kagawa, Yukiko Yagi (Urushi artist), and Meguri Ichida (Urushi artist). Workshops will also be held by these artists.
