< Conferment of 2016 Spring Imperial Decoration on Mrs. Mohnaz Ashish Karande and Mr. Abdul Salam Shaikh >

   “The Order of the Sacred Treasure, Gold and Silver Rays” was conferred on Mrs. Mohnaz Ashish Karande and Mr. Abdul Salam Shaikh former employees of Consulate-General of Japan in Mumbai by Mr. Yoshiaki ITO, Consul-General of Japan.

   The presentation ceremony was held on Friday, 3rd June, 2016 at the Consulate-General of Japan in Mumbai.

   The congratulatory message from Mr. Fumio Kishida, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan was read out by Mr. ITO, Consul-General of Japan in Mumbai after the playing of the National Anthems of India and Japan.

   Mr. ITO in his speech appreciated Mrs. Mohnaz Ashish Karande and Mr. Abdul Salam Shaikh for their contribution to the activities of the Japanese overseas establishment.

   After the ceremony, Mr. ITO hosted a luncheon reception in honour of Mrs. Mohnaz Ashish Karande and Mr. Abdul Salam Shaikh.
