‘Origami’ means ‘Ori’ (fold) and ‘kami’ (paper) is a traditional Japanese art of paper folding. Introduced in the 17th century and popularized in the mid 1900s, Origami has evolved as a modern art form. A flat piece of square paper, with a few folding techniques can be transformed into object, animal, bird, flower, etc. This art of paper folding has been passed on from generation to generation despite huge technological advances in Japan. A large array of origami models of different colours, shapes and sizes will be displayed at the exhibition.
