- Japanese Kites and Tops Exhibition
Kites were introduced in Japan some 1,200 years ago. Kites are flown in Japan on festive occassions, mainly during New Year celebrations and other festivals such as Boys Day. Spinning tops are also very popular in Japan with around 1,000 different kinds being made in Japan.

Japanese Anime Ambassador "Doraemon""Doraemon" appointed as the first "Anime Ambassador" of Japan, one of the most popular animation character. The Anime Ambassador introduced many works that depict everyday life and customs in Japan. Doraemon, is a fictional robot, who travels back in time in the 21st century to aid a school boy, Nobita who was fearful, did poorly in school and sports, and was often bullied by his friends.
Entry to Japan Festival 2010 was free.
